ATTORNEY ANGELINA LANDI ELECTED AS CHAIR OF THE FAMILY LAW SECTION OF THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR JUSTICE

Our firm, TJC ESQ, is thrilled to announce our very own Attorney Angelina Landi was elected as Chair of the Family Law Section of the American Association for Justice. This incredible accomplishment highlights Attorney Landi's invaluable worth as a family law attorney, as well as her sincere dedication to the betterment of her clients' lives. The Family Law Section of the AAJ focuses on child custody, spousal abuse, and marital property cases, as well as how to construct a case for a judge as opposed to a jury.

SURPRISE BOOK SIGNING HELD BY EDWARD P. GALLOGLY FAMILY LAW INNS OF COURT

The Edward P. Gallogly Family Law Inns of Court held a surprise book signing at its closing gathering, and we at TJC ESQ were honored to attend and partake in this wonderful occasion. Attorney Tim Conlon was thrilled by the unexpected book signing, as all attendees celebrated with a champagne toast. All of the ABA books were sold, plus 15 more ordered just from the event!

TIM CONLON TO TAKE ON HIGH-PROFILE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA MOLESTATION LAWSUIT

Attorney Tim Conlon of TJC ESQ will serve as co-counsel in a class-action lawsuit brought against the Boy Scouts of America and its Fairfield chapter on behalf of 17 former scouts and 2 women who claim to have been repeatedly molested by a former Scoutmaster from 1963 to 1975. The abuser, Ridgefield man Donald Dennis, allegedly used his status as a scout leader to force scouts into engaging in oral and anal sex - in the case of one of the plaintiffs, occurring more than 1,000 times. Dennis, who was an auxiliary Connecticut state trooper during the time and would frequently wear his uniform to meetings, reportedly used any opportunity he had alone with the children to carry out the sexual assaults. Dennis died in 2013.

ASSET DIVISION SEMINAR FOR CLE CREDITS TO BE TAUGHT BY ATTORNEY CONLON

Attorney Timothy J. Conlon of TJC ESQ will help present a seminar with the National Business Institute (NBI) on Wednesday, May, 11th 2016. The course, titled Divorce Law: Common Mistakes in Dividing Assets, will provide invaluable information for legal practitioners on the subject of assetand debt distribution during the divorce process. Attorney Conlon will speak on the tax consequences of divorce and reveal common areas where attorneys fail to equitably distribute their clients' assets.

Attorney Conlon will be one of three presenters during the seminar and will speak on the proper uses of Excel and PowerPoint in a legal setting.
